Eleanor Rose

Eleanor Rose leads the firm's corporate work. Most of her clients are closely held companies and the families and investors who own them. She handles the purchase and sale of businesses, financings, joint ventures, and the shareholder and operating agreements that govern them. She also drafts and negotiates the commercial contracts a company signs every year.

She is the firm's real estate lawyer too. She negotiates commercial leases for landlords and tenants, and she handles the acquisition, sale, and financing of commercial property in New York and New Jersey. When a lease turns into a dispute that will not settle, she brings in Richard Bloomfield.

Eleanor founded the firm in 1987 with Richard Bloomfield and Harold Glickman, after several years in the corporate department of a large New York firm. She reads a deal for what the client needs from it, and she says plainly when the terms will not get them there.
